Interest in Cody Bellinger, 28, the biggest free agent outfielder in baseball, is heating up.
The Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, and San Francisco Giants are the top three destinations for Bellinger, according to MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball (MLB). John Heyman of the New York Post predicted that Bellinger “will ultimately join one of the three teams, probably the Cubs or Yankees. Heyman revealed earlier this week that “the Yankees are investigating the top end of the batting market,” naming Shohei Ohtani, Juan Soto and Bellinger as potential targets, with Bellinger being the most likely.
Bellinger, the 2017 National League (NL) Rookie of the Year, hit 47 home runs and 115 RBIs in 2019, earning NL MVP honors.
